LOLA - Bridging print and digital for a launch website
Product designer, Design lead
Client
LOLA is a digital platform that simplifies smart building management, centralizing real-time data for a clear, actionable overview.
Missing public website for potential clients
LOLA had a strong visual (not optimized for digital) identity. The challenge was to translate the brand’s design language into a user-friendly website while ensuring it met usability standards for digital audiences.
Print vs. digital
The project aimed to create a launch homepage that reflected LOLA’s branding but also ensured a correct application online. A small design system was also needed to establish consistency in UI elements.
Requirements and limitations
Fast delivery with a tight timeline.
Strict design guidelines – predefined colors, fonts, and graphic elements.
Visual consistency between print and digital formats.
Workflow
Regular check-ins with stakeholders
Agile design iterations to fine-tune usability while respecting brand aesthetics.
Collaborative alignment with developers to ensure smooth implementation.
Challenges
Print first design: Transforming a layout meant for print into an interactive, responsive website.
Visual constraints: Working within predefined color schemes and typography without compromising usability.
